When organisations around the world rapidly shifted to remote working, learning and development faced an unprecedented challenge. Classroom-based programmes had to be redesigned almost overnight for virtual delivery without compromising engagement, interaction or learning outcomes.

Green Key was commissioned to deliver a series of virtual learning programmes for a global organisation providing digital security solutions for employees, partners and customers. The organisation’s technical support teams were based across multiple countries and time zones and, at the same time, were supporting the integration of another business following a merger.

Programmes in Customer Excellence and Working in a Cross-Cultural Environment were delivered to groups of 8–12 participants over a three-month period. Although participants were experienced in working online, creating an engaging learning experience required a completely different approach from traditional classroom delivery.

Rather than simply moving classroom content online, Green Key redesigned the programmes specifically for virtual delivery.

Working with groups across different countries and cultures, programme content was adapted to reflect participants’ experience, cultural backgrounds and business needs. Depending on previous learning, each group completed three or four interactive modules over a three-month period.
